Michael Turner is a GDP with a specialist interest in endodontics ( root canal treatment). Michael qualified in 2000 and has completed his diploma in endodontics. He is continuing his study to achieve his Msc in endodontics.
Michael works at the Whitley Dental Clinic taking referrals from our dentists and also referrals from other practices for more complex and challenging cases. Michael accepts referrals for root canal treatment diagnosis, primary (first attempt) treatments, re-treatments ( replacing a failing root canal), post removals ( fractured/damaged posts) and apical closure cases.
During a consultation you can expect a diagnosis (this may include radiographs), a discussion of options, a discussion of risks and benefits and an outline of prognosis for the tooth and costs. A letter will be sent with all this information and a written estimate prior to treatment. If treatment is undertaken a further letter will be provided with advice on the treatment, advice on prognosis and advice on how the tooth should be fully restored to protect the root canal treatment such as a crown.
